This lovely cabled beanie is so squishy and comforting, that it feels like you’re getting a hug from mom!
I designed this beanie in memory of my dear mother who passed away, in December 2021, after multiple cancers ravaged her body.
Made in Red Heart Super Saver Ombre yarn.
“Mom’s Angel Beanie” was designed as part of the 2022 #CrochetCancerChallenge event, which is hosted every year by Sweet Potato 3.
Lavender is the Cancer Awareness color for all types of cancer. It was also my mom’s favorite color.
The original “Mom’s Angel Beanie” made in Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn.
My first Mom’s Angel beanie was a lavender hat with the brim in eggplant purple, which is my favorite color. I love the idea of our 2 favorite colors combined, in tribute to my mom & my love for her.
All 3 of these beanies are made in Red Heart Super Saver Ombre yarn.
This pattern works up beautifully in most any yarn. I’m a little partial to the ones I made in Red Heart Super Ombre yarn.
